Entourage: Season 7: Turtle Ltd.

Hey, we're already two episodes into this.

At least it seems like Vince is going to hit some new kind of bottom.

Did Turtle start up his...is it a driver service?...in the last season, or did this come out of nowhere?

"Thought you were Samantha Ronson from behind." That kind of thing still makes it worth watching.

a hedge maze made of people (Eazy), Wednesday, 14 July 2010 21:07 (fourteen years ago)

I'm not feeling this season yet...it feels more forced than normal.

VegemiteGrrrl, Wednesday, 14 July 2010 22:12 (fourteen years ago)

^ yeah. I kind of liked how last season Vince was basically a background character like 99% of the time.

Not the real Village People, Thursday, 15 July 2010 01:00 (fourteen years ago)

Don't love Turtles "Cars N Boobs" thing, and the chick he digs is annoying... Not digging the NFL storyline much...and unless Vince goes off the rails with a pill addiction or a public drinkeness binge, I dunno about his thrillseeker storyline either.
Johnny Drama's about all that keeps me watching, unless Ari gets interesting again.

VegemiteGrrrl, Thursday, 15 July 2010 01:27 (fourteen years ago)

four weeks pass...

Haha nobody cares, I see

The world's leaders on pills (admrl), Thursday, 12 August 2010 04:59 (fourteen years ago)

bad sign that this has been on for 5-6 weeks and there are as many posts on its official thread

The world's leaders on pills (admrl), Thursday, 12 August 2010 05:00 (fourteen years ago)

We're not even gonna talk about Sasha Grey, she is SO annoying

The world's leaders on pills (admrl), Thursday, 12 August 2010 05:01 (fourteen years ago)

Still watching... don't know why...

Not the real Village People, Thursday, 12 August 2010 05:10 (fourteen years ago)

My thoughts exactly. This should have been over a couple of years ago.

The world's leaders on pills (admrl), Thursday, 12 August 2010 05:11 (fourteen years ago)

gave up after two eps of the last series, and still regret watching... whatever was the series (or two or three series really) before that

s0 over

unchill english bro (history mayne), Thursday, 12 August 2010 08:23 (fourteen years ago)

somehow this show got worse

jeff, Thursday, 12 August 2010 08:25 (fourteen years ago)

I thought sasha grey had randy moss between her legs the last episode. And my guess is Ari is gonna fuck the shit out of that chick.

chrisv2010, Thursday, 12 August 2010 13:47 (fourteen years ago)

I don't see ari cheating on his wife at all

Aerosol, Thursday, 12 August 2010 13:50 (fourteen years ago)

i wish this show had more Johnny Drama....i hope he gets his break.

chrisv2010, Thursday, 12 August 2010 13:59 (fourteen years ago)

in fact this world needs more Kevin Dillon. ever since he played Bunny in platoon he's been great.

chrisv2010, Thursday, 12 August 2010 14:00 (fourteen years ago)

Drama is great in this
But like a lot of people on here I don't even know why I watch this show anymore

Aerosol, Thursday, 12 August 2010 14:03 (fourteen years ago)

yeah i agree, its gotten pretty weak. on the other hand "how to make it in america" is not bad.

chrisv2010, Thursday, 12 August 2010 14:13 (fourteen years ago)

HTMIIA didn't get much love here but I liked it.

Aerosol, Thursday, 12 August 2010 14:24 (fourteen years ago)

I LOATHE Drama and sort of wish he was just killed off.

En Moog (Stevie D), Thursday, 12 August 2010 14:34 (fourteen years ago)

glad that the next season will be both 6 episodes and its final one. sad that they're considering doing a feature film after that.

EVERYTHING

sunny successor, Thursday, 12 August 2010 18:35 (fourteen years ago)

Even E?

Aerosol, Thursday, 12 August 2010 18:57 (fourteen years ago)

E stands for everything

okay not E

sunny successor, Thursday, 12 August 2010 19:26 (fourteen years ago)

hes kind of tiny enough to ignore though

sunny successor, Thursday, 12 August 2010 19:27 (fourteen years ago)

Sasha Grey?

The world's leaders on pills (admrl), Thursday, 12 August 2010 19:27 (fourteen years ago)

now i think about it i like E a little more now because i hate the guy he works with but i like sloan less because shes marrying E.

sunny successor, Thursday, 12 August 2010 19:30 (fourteen years ago)

shes okay. i meanwhat are they going to do? bring back mandy moore.

also: small request for more saget and esp. more segal

sunny successor, Thursday, 12 August 2010 19:32 (fourteen years ago)

my husband refuses to watch it because he hates the way the core four are always coming around corners towards the camera. its a pretty valid point when you think about it.

sunny successor, Thursday, 12 August 2010 19:35 (fourteen years ago)

ps im still in love with jeremy piven as ari gold.

sunny successor, Thursday, 12 August 2010 19:36 (fourteen years ago)

yeah, i can recognize this show has gone downhill, but i still find it very enjoyable to watch.

mizzell, Thursday, 12 August 2010 19:53 (fourteen years ago)

^^

he's always been a bit of an anti-climb Max (jon /via/ chi 2.0), Thursday, 12 August 2010 20:41 (fourteen years ago)

i've been one of the most self-hating viewers of the show who's kept watching even as whining that it's been downhill since season TWO, but i have to say it's definitely levelled out and maybe gotten better than it was a couple years ago. except for the first episode w/ Sasha Grey, that was probably one of the worst in the show's history. also hate this whole storyline w/ Turtle and boring girl, mostly because he actually got a decent story/love interest for once last season.

gr8080, Saturday, 14 August 2010 00:41 (fourteen years ago)

I hated the first Sasha Grey ep so much I haven't been able to watch last week's episode yet, because I know she's still in it.

Also I used to LOVE Scott Caan...but there's something about seeing over and over how short and rooster-like he is, I'm having a hard time with it. I think I'm heightist. His character is a douche too, which doesn't help.

The exchange with Ari and Mike Tyson about his Brady Bunch pitch made me lol.

VegemiteGrrrl, Saturday, 14 August 2010 02:05 (fourteen years ago)

i have downloaded a bunch of episodes of this but don't know whether to actually watch it on account of it being really shitty now.

a hoy hoy, Monday, 16 August 2010 11:46 (fourteen years ago)

I would have given up had the final series not been announced. Seems a shame to just ditch it when there are only like ten episodes left.

heterosexist matrix of desire (Gukbe), Monday, 16 August 2010 15:36 (fourteen years ago)

The first scene in tonight's ep was just terrible, with Sloan not being Sloan-ish and what felt like a daytime shoot in a nightclub.

But, hey, I laugh at something each time I see an episode. And Sasha Grey as the Angel of Death isn't bad.

But if they've just boxed in Ari so that he can't spew at everyone, don't know what he'll be good for.

Still, hey, always good to watch for kitchen furnishings and Ari's clothes.

A Chart Hit of Some Sort (Eazy), Monday, 23 August 2010 05:32 (fourteen years ago)

Finally caught up, and while still not particularly 'good', I do like Ari on the backfoot (scene with his wife and the therapist was well done) and Vince going off the deep end, which feels like the first character development he's ever had.

a cankle of rads (Gukbe), Sunday, 29 August 2010 03:30 (fourteen years ago)

yeah i watched the last 4 eps in one sitting. this show is so much more watchable that way.

gr8080, Sunday, 29 August 2010 03:35 (fourteen years ago)

Season has definitely improved in the last few eps...so great having Billy back, even clean he's great

a hoy hoy, Thursday, 23 September 2010 09:10 (fourteen years ago)

for some reason i thouht this was the last season and after watching the finale i was like 'what the hell????'

I saw him in convulsive throws I said "I'll have one of those" (sunny successor), Thursday, 23 September 2010 14:31 (fourteen years ago)

Haha. I think they had their own fears about being cancelled by the end of this season, so they came up with an ending that made sure it didn't happen.

movie on the way?

Aerosol, Friday, 29 July 2011 13:38 (thirteen years ago)

If the rest of this current season is as awful as the season opener was, I won't be able to make it to the end let alone through a feature film. I haven't done enough research to fully verify my thoughts, but my working theory is that the quality of this show has decreased with Turtle's weight.

jon /via/ chi 2.0, Friday, 29 July 2011 13:44 (thirteen years ago)

otm, even tho this last season is only 8 eps, i agree that i could see myself stop watching. think its gonna be a self-congratulatory feel-good victory lap abt "friendship" "family" that makes me want 2 barf

johnny crunch, Friday, 29 July 2011 13:53 (thirteen years ago)

surprisingly I didn't think the first ep was really all that terrible. Maybe my expectations had been sufficiently lowered by the last series such that it couldn't possibly have stooped beneath bar that low. just found it a bit... dull, really.

Upt0eleven, Friday, 29 July 2011 13:58 (thirteen years ago)

I just want one ridiculous t-shirt on Johnny Drama per episode, and I'm fine.

First it's the schwa, but then what? (Eazy), Friday, 29 July 2011 14:02 (thirteen years ago)

The 'flaws' that you find in Entourage are the same flaws that you find in the modern bro. They lack emotional depth, and they are grounded in their circle of bros. It is unrealistic to think that a bro could authentically evolve 'as a compassionate person,' which is the same reason we get annoyed with the final act of most Judd Apatow films — the bro man-children are forced to go through a metamorphbrosis, turning into a 'real man' who sees that there is life beyond bro. The rest of the movie was a really fun celebration of a circle of bros, but now you're telling me that I am supposed to abandon everything that made this an enjoyable experience?

Gukbe, Monday, 1 August 2011 21:14 (thirteen years ago)

i hated that article. bill simmons himself couldn't have made it worse

frogbs, Monday, 1 August 2011 21:17 (thirteen years ago)

couldnt they just have digitally made turtle fat again? it is unsettling

p sure andy dice clay had more lines than vince this ep

johnny crunch, Tuesday, 2 August 2011 02:39 (thirteen years ago)

Well, tbh, fewer lines for Vince is pretty much par for the course and fine with me if they insist on milking this Vince wants a dog Lifetime movie plot.

Cindy Mancini can ride my lawnmower anytime (thebingo), Tuesday, 2 August 2011 14:37 (thirteen years ago)

This season is picking up a little. Last night's twist at the end was about as much "holy shit" as this show ever really gets, even if it was fairly telegraphed ahead of time. I like the way the Ari plotline is playing out so far. Also loving Dice's interactions with his kid and cat.

jon /via/ chi 2.0, Monday, 8 August 2011 16:08 (thirteen years ago)

oh man I was so worried that shit was gonna go wrong but then BAM everything turned out okay. I love seeing this show go in new directions.

airport scene at the end made me kind of nauseous. somehow everything was magically resolved between everyone and their respective ladies, who were all dutifully waiting by the planes in the background.

I just watched the whole season today. Holy shit, was this disgusting or what? Men: you can manipulate whomever you want by being persistent!! It is respectful to harass and stalk them after they repeatedly tell you "no", and you will be rewarded for your efforts!! Also, making drastic changes to appease your wife will suddenly change your entire personality make up and make you a worthwhile person!! EVERYBODY WINS WHEN YOU'RE A MAN

said it before, but that grotesque moment in the finale where are their respective women are waiting by their respective planes might be the most honest/repugnant moment on TV you'll see all year.
