He appeared in many of the Shaw Brothers classic kung fu films, including 8 Pole Diagram Fighter, The 36th Chamber of Shaolin, and Heroes of the East. He broke through to American pop culture by starring in both Kill Bills, including a turn as famed HK movie character Pai Mei. He's even done a Bollywood film (Chandi Chowk to China).

he's apparently a huge guitar dude and when he has come to montreal for fantasia he hangs out with the rock crit from my paper, goes to guitar stores and jams.
