I thought about the legs. This was the strategy bearsharktopus would use as well and I respect it. It's just spikes win over blunt object and couldn't bearotaur use the weapon as a projectile before gorillo got too close? After that of course, bearotaur would have to find away to retrieve the weapon and I can't imagine bending down and pulling the morningstar out of Gorillo's brain can be too easy without opposable thumbs.

well, that would assume that gorillo would be too stupid to duck, so that the spikes would land on its thick rhino hide - and since gorillo has the brain of one of the most intelligent animal species, i doubt that gorillo would be that dumb.

While Bearotaur has the more formidable weapon, Bearotaur also has paws. Paws, while good for pawing at things like grub-filled rotten logs, are quite poor at grasping, rendering it clumsy when attempting to hold and guide its weapon for maximum effect.

Gorillo has hands adapted for grasping at lucious branches of greenery, and is therefore also able to wield its weapon with far greater force and accuracy.
