burritos - so refreshing and healthy. not like some runny fruit juice exploding in your mouth. nature's gift to the human palate. pluck them from the mexican place down the street. sink your teeth in. you are communicating with Huitzilopochtli.

Berries, Peaches

Like I said in the other threads -- no burritos? OK, I still have tacos. No ribs? OK, I still have pulled pork.

^^ just denigrated all of california

dyao, Wednesday, 28 July 2010 01:28 (fifteen years ago)

Yeah, burritos take berries for sure. I've found that berries are the fruit most likely to grow mold on them in your fridge. Peaches however, mold medium status notwithstanding, are so tasty and juicy. They're also grown on beautiful trees

http://thundafunda.com/2/traveling-pictures-tourism/download/Peach%20Tree%20Orchard%20in%20Full%20Bloom,%20Lancaster,%20California.jpg

whereas ribs are grown on a pig

http://www.elated.co.za/images/pig4cuddle.jpg.

Do you really want to eat that? They're smarter than dogs you know!

haha dyao

iatee, Wednesday, 28 July 2010 01:29 (fifteen years ago)

A peach that smart, you can't eat it all at once.

Warum habt Ihr mich totgefüttert? (Abbott), Wednesday, 28 July 2010 01:30 (fifteen years ago)

the pig on the bottom of the pile knows what's up - i.e. would eat the ribs of the other pigs

hard to vote against burritos but let us consider:

blueberries
raspberries
gooseberries
elderberries
blackberries
marionberries
grapes

moreover, despair not, those who with me mourn the loss of the watermelon. botanically speaking, "berries" are any fleshy fruit produced of a single ovary. that means that, should berries win, both watermelon & tomatoes are back in. nb this is only true if you're willing to be a pedantic dick about stuff but I am perfectly willing to to be a pedantic dick for the love of tomatoes.

gross rainbow of haerosmith (underrated aerosmith albums I have loved), Wednesday, 28 July 2010 03:11 (fifteen years ago)

blueberries are my all time favorite food - easily - but I'm averaging the berries into a 'mixed berry' concept, and burritos def beat that.

iatee, Wednesday, 28 July 2010 03:13 (fifteen years ago)

I feel at this point you simply can't be polite anymore, time to rig the polls

http://www.specialtyproduce.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/golden-raspberries-1024x709.jpg

dyao, Wednesday, 28 July 2010 03:13 (fifteen years ago)

how can you average your all time favorite food into an aggregate

incomprehensible

gross rainbow of haerosmith (underrated aerosmith albums I have loved), Wednesday, 28 July 2010 03:14 (fifteen years ago)

cause it's part of a GROUP

iatee, Wednesday, 28 July 2010 03:14 (fifteen years ago)

that means that, should berries win, both watermelon & tomatoes are back in.

This is URGENT AND KEY SCIENCE that our man has dropped here, folks

corn piece in mouffetard (acoleuthic), Wednesday, 28 July 2010 03:15 (fifteen years ago)

if it were blueberries vs. burritos it would be very clear what I'd be voting for - and I'd be voting for blueberries. but instead I am considering this 'average burrito meal' vs 'average berry-themed meal'

iatee, Wednesday, 28 July 2010 03:15 (fifteen years ago)

when considering the average burrito meal, consider every burrito made in the landmass that is eurasia

corn piece in mouffetard (acoleuthic), Wednesday, 28 July 2010 03:17 (fifteen years ago)

blueberries are the best

I think I voted ribs in the original poll, but I'm switching my vote to peaches. Ribs taste great, but I really hate eating greasy food with my fingers.

peter in montreal, Wednesday, 28 July 2010 03:17 (fifteen years ago)

yeah but I don't consider those 'burritos'

iatee, Wednesday, 28 July 2010 03:17 (fifteen years ago)

but you are voting blueberries vs. burritos, because if burritos win, blueberries are gone - if this were politics, you would be the one arguing my formulation here, like, quite passionately iirc

gross rainbow of haerosmith (underrated aerosmith albums I have loved), Wednesday, 28 July 2010 03:18 (fifteen years ago)

berries and peaches make me happy; burritos and ribs make me feel sick

all four are delicious, but only two of these things never hurt my stomach
BERRIES AND PEACHES

i like that all of them are eaten with fingers though. i love eating with my hands.

ghee hee hee (La Lechera), Wednesday, 28 July 2010 03:18 (fifteen years ago)

burritos, ribs. i try to only eat fruit when it is forced through a tube into my veins by a doctor

I've had a burrito in its proper folded package - p nice but nothing like a roadside berry exploding upon one's tongue

also lol, the British Burrito is totally lethal and has been known to pierce medium-sized tanks

corn piece in mouffetard (acoleuthic), Wednesday, 28 July 2010 03:23 (fifteen years ago)

does it have chutney in it

Poutine kissed boy "like a kitten" (jjjusten), Wednesday, 28 July 2010 03:24 (fifteen years ago)

if I did screennames I would consider 'roadside berry exploding upon one's tongue'

iatee, Wednesday, 28 July 2010 03:24 (fifteen years ago)

or is that reserved for your "tacos" xpost

Poutine kissed boy "like a kitten" (jjjusten), Wednesday, 28 July 2010 03:24 (fifteen years ago)

"British Burrito" was Thatcher's nickname for a couple of years until the hit squads put that one down, right?

My totem animal is a hamburger. (WmC), Wednesday, 28 July 2010 03:25 (fifteen years ago)

is there something particularly explosive about british berries, cause you keep going on on that

iatee, Wednesday, 28 July 2010 03:25 (fifteen years ago)

until the phrase "roadside berry exploding upon one's tongue" showed up here i had always assumed that england did not have late night rest stops or truck stops

CA has incredible produce

it doesn't have the soil the midwest has tho, and the land is hillier & rockier & there's more mountains & trees blocking the sun

that's the main reason why the variety & quality of local produce in the midwest is better I'd guess

I'm sure you've spend loads of time in lol "red state America" (for you: any place you haven't visited) and wouldn't dream of just talking out your ass about places you've never spent much time in tho, right?
