decided to put them all in 1 thread bcuz i dont think ilx can sustain separate discussion threads for each of them
kinda getting obsessed w/these shows. pretty little liars is my fave by a wide margin - show seems to have no loyalty to any sort of emotional continuity/psychological reality/narrative coherence each scene seems distinct and new - also some really great dialogue. it also has such great (if tonally inappropriate) opening credits
i think id like huge more if the camp head werent written and acted so poorly - it makes no sense that sum1 so emotionally brittle wld be running this camp? or like, alive & functioning. part of this may be that the actress seems continually on the verge of a nervous breakdown.
secret life is really corny & the least interesting of three but i still like it okay...
is ne1 else watching these????

so weirded out at how ABC Fam turned into the nu-WB of risque teen programming while keeping 'family' in the name and running their overtly jesus-y xmas specials

i have seen some of pretty little liars. my sister is obsessed. the credit sequence is v good.
i looooooved huge but it getting cancelled was the most predictable thing ever.
never seen secret life, it seems horrifying, afaict from promos all that happens is girls getting pregnant from looking at dudes' crotches and dudes proposing to them.

I have to admit I am not a really big fan of PLA. It's fun and I'll keep watching but it's a bit too Hard Candy glossy for my liking. Fake risqué. Does that make any sense? Probably not.

damn i feel bad that i never saw this thread the first time around, would not have left Lamp hanging
Secret Life Of The American Teenager, or SLOTAT as it will henceforth be known, is pretty incredible. like, watching clips on The Soup is frighteningly accurate as to what the whole show is like, if an episode is about a girl blaming her father's death on her decision to disobey his wish for her to not have sex, every single scene in that episode is just her going "my father's dead because i had sex, and he had a horrible death because i had incredible sex" over and over and over.

secret life seems like it has to be a pro-life show by proxy not that i actually know anything about it, but the politics of huge was p good. don't really have a bead on pretty little liars.

i watched one episode of state of georgia because al repped for it and it is terrible but raven symone is really charming and charismatic. she deserves better.

i also watched greek and make it or break it for a while. whew abcfam confessionalism. i think that's it.
haha oh yeah State of Georgia. they never seem to run it anymore so i haven't been able to watch more than a couple episodes to confirm whether i was completely high for thinking it was hilarious. i have watched Melissa & Joey more than i care to admit, though, since they seem to be churning out like 50 episodes in the space of a year like Tyler Perry's Meet The Browns.
