...because you're kinda just trolling? i mean, really, if adam mckay movies and cinemascopes car pile-ups are paragons of fine craftsmanship for you, super.

I just think it's weird that fans overlook some rather obvious shortcomings in craft as if they don't matter. it's weird.

well see most people judge comedies on the level of "am i laughing my ass off or not?" if they're not laughing, they might note defects, but if they are, they don't care.

i mean Tropic Thunder probably benefited from the budget to look like they were filming a real big-budget war movie, but if I didn't like the jokes all the lush jungle shots wouldn't mean shit

i've probably said this a million times but the funniest scene (and funniest line) in the movie was the cut out alternate ending—and I would have given this to Jake Fogelnest easy.
