yes and no. "malt liquor" is a fucked up category. in the states, it's often a product that doesn't meet the standards for beer or ale. washington state, for instance, used to restrict the amount of alcohol in products sold as beer or ale. therefore, anything over that limit had to be called "malt liquor". this included cheap annihilators like mickey's and OE, but also relatively high-quality products like EKU, elephant lager, trappist ales, etc.

a wittekirke on a hot day is just awesome, while tequila has given me some of the worst and most unhealthy moments of my life. this is tough but i have to go with old me rather than young me. sorry to all the craft reposados or whatever, wheat beer it is.

i give my mom a bottle of cognac every christmas, pinot grigio is crap.

i don't really care about mojitos or schnapps, i guess i'd rather have a mojito.
