these polls are making me realize how much I almost exclusively drink wine and beer as far as alcoholic beverages go

Me too. how come G&T and just gin are two options in this poll? Surely denying something awesome (which I can't think of right now) a place?

oh okay, "trappist ale" is its own specail deal over here in round 8. phew! pls to ignore freakout in round 6. slightly tough to let the G&T go, but only slightly.

Just a quibble but amongst these polls you now have cognac and brandy. Cognac is a kind of brandy.

Finally some difficult choices. Trappist ale is my #1 though, and German lager (is this really that different from Pilsner?) has a lot more functions than absinthe.

daiquiris are delicious. i have nothing against brandy but i don't think i ever drink it habitually.
cosmos are excellent things but not my cocktail of choice, and not as good as a good pinot noir.
i have no knowledge of or interest in "trappiste ales" but the old reliable g&t is my default non-wine summer drink. a classic.
i don't really know why anyone would willingly do absinthe. i'm not huge on lager but it's pretty satisfying when you need to take the ~edge~ off one's hangover.
