it bugs me that site developers (or whatever they're called, or the people they work for or whatever) are constantly tweaking sites both cosmetically and functionally and adding all these crap bells and whistles. i think one of the reasons google's search engine has been so successful is b/c it is easy on the eyes, leans towards a minimal design, and tends to slip its changes in fairly unobtrusively. contrast that to something like youtube, which lately keeps introducing all of these annoying superfluous features

i mean, i imagine that one of the big reasons people like ilx is because the presentation is not gross mardi gras in las vegas like so much other stuff online
