30 rock vs larry sanders is a heart-breaker.

voted sanders, but 30 rock is unfuckwithable.

30 Rock was an easy vote for me, because I've only ever seen clips of Larry Sanders. They were funny clips, of course, but I have no relationship with that show at all.

― Johnny Fever, Tuesday, 24 August 2010 14:39 (sixteen years ago)

Larry Sanders/some show/some show/some show.

― clemenza, Tuesday, 24 August 2010 14:46 (sixteen years ago)

fuck 30 rock

the real heartbreaker here is arrested development vs newhart

― dell (del), Tuesday, 24 August 2010 14:49 (sixteen years ago)

The Larry Sanders Show, The Golden Girls, Newhart, Taxi

Golden Girls v. Monkees was the only one I had to even think about.

The Monkees was sufficiently goofy, but I don't know that I'd ever call it good.

― Johnny Fever, Tuesday, 24 August 2010 17:36 (sixteen years ago)

I'm starting to fear for 30 Rock. ;_;

The first two seasons of the Monkees is really a blast, and there isn't much of a precedent for that kind of weirdness on tv. I still voted for the Gals, but it was almost a coin flip.

And anyone who picks 30 Rock over Larry Sanders shouldn't question others.

re: The Monkees - early stuff is pretty ok! and i am not a GG fan at all.

― gg eileen (jjjusten), Wednesday, 25 August 2010 17:42 (sixteen years ago)

No show ever had better closing-credits music than the Monkees and "For Pete's Sake."

30 Rock, GG, Newhart, Taxi

(choosing between Rev. Jim and Barbara Eden's bodaciousness was the toughest part)

I mean, what?! The Monkees have taken down The Jeffersons and now The Golden Girls. Are you people a bunch of teenage girls from 1966?

― Johnny Fever, Wednesday, 25 August 2010 23:06 (sixteen years ago)

Fuck 30 Rock and Arrested Development. Such abject crap.

― EZ Snappin, Wednesday, 25 August 2010 23:14 (sixteen years ago)

AD, meh. I love the hell out of 30 Rock, though.

― Johnny Fever, Wednesday, 25 August 2010 23:17 (sixteen years ago)

30 Rock: I watched three random episodes from the first two seasons and wanted my 90 minutes back. Except for Alec Baldwin it made me want to drive a pencil through my eardrums.

AD: watched the entire first season before giving up. So many of my friends love it and it did nothing for me, except for occasional moments from Jeffrey Tambor.

― EZ Snappin, Wednesday, 25 August 2010 23:27 (sixteen years ago)

i think arrested development is glorious. also 30 rock, though i'm sad larry sanders didn't make it through...

Except for Alec Baldwin it made me want to drive a pencil through my eardrums.

Please do! ^_^

I agree with AD, though. I can't get into the comedy of humiliation and awkwardness at all.

Can't believe there isn't a bigger Bea Arthur bloc.

really don't think AD is all abt humiliation and awkwardness, it has many many more layers than that.
