it might be the moroccan cooking class i'm taking this saturday:

chicken and chickpea tagine with apricots and harissa, grilled lamb keftas with mint dressing, arugula and mint salad with oil cured olives, oranges and ricotta salata, couscous with 7 vegetables, Moroccan harvest bread, coconut cous cous pudding, chocolate olive oil cake with orange blossom syrup, all served with cardamom-infused pomegranate martinis and traditional mint tea.

"baked macaroni and cheese" is also an acceptable answer

that would be an acceptable answer, yes

but what on the side?

crispy kale has been one of my favorite sides lately.

very true - they have both of those things at the bbq place across the street. accent one another v well.

my bf used to have steamed broccoli and apple sauce with his mac n cheese

I like a good picnic - nice bread, fresh salad with a good dressing, tomatoes, a bottle of wine, some samosas, a few grilled peppers, a bit of sunshine, a football, that sort of thing. Horribly middle-class though.

gnocchi al sugo, the sugo being a tomato based sauce made in a large pot overnight with a big joint of beef. the beef being served as the main along with asparagus, tomato and onion salad, various other vegetables. papaya and mango for desert. pisco sour as an aperitif, good chilean cabernet sauvignon accompanying.

and of course i would give you a million different answers on different days. just that one makes me feel a bit nostalgic at the moment.

yeah i guess my other favorite meal would be brisket. with anything.

it was just the regular sandwich but i've had the open-faced one too, with the gravy and mashed potatoes. yowza.

i'm not sure how u get better than a brisket sandwich for lunch

i just had a burrito and minestrone soup which is a good meal but not like a Great meal

you know what's a great meal? a huge bowl of ramen or udon. nothing on the side cuz it's all in there: a bit of pork, some vegetables, pickled radish, slurpy noodles, maybe some pickled ginger or daikon as garnish...

linguine alla botarga, huge sirloin steak (rare) w/ chips/rocket salad & chateauneuf du pape, pistacchio ice cream & tokaji aszu with plenty of coffee afterwards

really happy to see the pasta and beef representation up in here

My next good meal is my favorite.

ground pork, onions, fermented black beans, and rice

Either what I had tonight - ground lamb or beef kebabs with chapatis, raita, cilantro and mint chutney, mango pickle, and roast cauliflower - or else a plate of charcuterie, olives, cheeses, good bread, with maybe some arugla salad or a pickled vegetable of some sort.

My wife's would be leek risotto. I think mine would be... a really awesome lamb balti. Tiramisu for dessert.

for breakfast: smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, asparagus tips, triangles of white toast w/butter, and champagne.

Bacon, egg, beans & chips

Pea soup, roast knuckle end leg of lamb w' gratin dauphinois, summer pudding. Light italian red for the main, Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venise for the dessert.

Enough leftovers to make lamb pilaf the next day.

now i've kicked my eggs benedict habit this would probably be just poached eggs on poppyseed bread, a couple of almond croissants, peaches, & white coffee of some description

One that's made by my wonderful and gifted gourmet robot chef who can create ingredients out of thin air, repair itself, and vanish discreetly into a closet after dinner.
