What Does Your To Do List Look Like?

Been feeling my to-do list lately. Someone had this idea in another thread and I just thought I'd make it come true.

Apply joint compound to newly hung drywall
Paint drywall
Write thank-you notes for baby shower & find a big fruit basket or something for everyone at the office
Take everything that is in cardboard boxes in the garage and put it into big plastic boxes
Fix the back window
Fix the front window
Check the roof for damage
Re-apply diatomaceous earth to back yard in hope of killing fleas
Kill weed tree (Ailanthus altissima)
Kill weeds in the driveway
Call out the heating guys for seasonal service
Pay a bunch of bills
Give the kid a piano lesson
Scrub out recycling bins
Re-assemble weight bench
Go jogging

I'm actually stoked because last night I checked off "sort out big box of random nails and screws and hooks and other metal bits".

We have a flea problem in our yard. Diatomaceous earth is a sort of silica powder that apparently does well in killing small bugs. I've dusted our yard with it a couple times, but don't think I used enough.

• Find title to car
• Drop off CDs at store
• Wash ever-growing pile of laundry
• Put in more job applications
• ??????
• PROFIT

Ahhhh, that reminds me I have to call my insurance agent too.

No joke - this thing is magical. If anyone out there has pets that shed a lot I can't recommend it enough. It's not cheap but it's worth every cent.

I have to make to do lists. If I didn't, I'd never get anything done. They have to me on paper in my notebook too. Electronic lists just don't work for me.

I remembered this thread when I sat here and started thinking about how weird it was that I rewrote that list twice and even used correction tape and what that said about me. I think somehow my lists looking neat makes me feel like my life is neat and that I've got things under control. lol. Also, I'm essentially really lazy and unmotivated. If I didn't make lists I'd literally never do anything. Even if I get only 2 of these things done at least it's something.

x-post - I was tired of losing all my earrings last year so I got this awesome handmade earring organizer which has helped a little. The reason I need to do that is because there are currently about 6 pairs on the coffee table and the dog came dangerously close to eating them last night. If I didn't write it down I'd leave it until they were all on the coffee table or in his stomach tbh.

I used to get on so much trouble when I was a kid for writing on myself that I pretty much never do it now. I have no idea why but it drove my mom crazy. She's sorta out there though so who knows.

i came here to post that i found some old to-do lists from my early 20s and they were so old and charming. they reminded me of how i was when i was young. i was more organized! i also wrote more stuff down in general.
i like to do lists. i still use post its and scribbles. thinking about to do lists is borderline relaxing in 2917 :-/
