Sometimes if a provider of entertainments is selling shirts, they make the shirt in women's sizing be of "the girl character" or something cute because who the fuck knows what girls like to wear?
Like, the Venture Bros has about five cool shirts I would buy right now, but they're all regular man-cut T-shirts, which make me feel & look like I am wearing the top half of a sleeping bag. But the only shirt they have in "Ladies sizes" is the girl assassin's organization:
The worst perp of this I can think at the moment is Axe Cop. The artist got a lot of requests on Facebook, from women, for a shirt that women could wear. SO instead of just saying "cool I will offer the not especially gendered shirts I have of Axe Cop in shirts that fit women," he spent several days devising a special design for women.
It's a fucking baby! Like there isn't even a shitty marginalized girl character in the strip, so let's put the thing women like to take care of? I guess? on a shirt (in pink of course). This drives me absolutely bonkers!
