Have any of you seen "Dead Snow"?

I'm on a mission to watch a horror/monster movie every night until Halloween.

Last night, I watched "Dead Snow," a recent Scandinavian horror flick about Nazi zombies.

I went in thinking it was going to have a few decent lols, but was just looking to kill time between then and the start of Mad Men.

But it was pretty damn solid! Very much in the vein of Sam Raimi. Didn't take itself too seriously, and at any moments where it looked like it might, it promptly popped its own balloon.

And dude - Nazi Zombies.

like... nazi zombies. sure. but it felt like they thought that was enough. nazi zombies! we don't really need to do anything else!

The bit where the fat film geek got to have success with the hot girl purely because she was into films as well was kind of painful. Like, this is a film that knows its audience. And then pulls their entrails out.

This was an enjoyable brainless way to spend a Sunday evening but I pretty much never thought about it ever again.

the scene where the girl engages in sexual congress with a dude taking a shit in an outhouse is very wtf

I would like to see a film in which Nazi zombies do battle with undead pirates.
