What are some great charities to donate to out of spite?

If a charity is doing great work, it must be pissing off someone, probably someone I'd like to piss off even more by donating to that charity.
I want to see this guy stamping his foot and chewing on his hat, he's so mad!
Your suggestions?

I donated to Nijoli's East Tennessee Abortion Rights Fund (or something like that? it's been a couple of years).
Not because it would make right-wingers mad but I'd just rather donate to charities that directly impact peoples' lives rather than going to some big fund to do abstract things.

Donating to anything to do with Israel with probably piss off a lot of privileged weekend socialist pro-Palestine types.

older ilxors might remember the dark days of calum, the horror film guy who derailed countless interesting topics with tedious arguments, and also started dozens of depressingly unfunny threads (nicky wire, banana suit etc). i always remember how his big thing was animal rights - i recall mark s doing a great analysis of how he used this belief as a crutch to allow him to treat anyone who didn't agree with him like complete shit (would love to read this again if anyone can find the link) - and he used to rant about Huntingdon life sciences using animal testing. i'm as anti-animal cruelty as the next guy but i figure the testing is worth it if it helps find cures for serious human diseases.

so i planned to set up a thread stating that every time i read a post by calum i'd donate a quid to huntingdon, and £5 for every thread he started, as well as setting up a paypal account to encourage other ilxors to contribute. the intention was to enrage calum + stop him posting + give a bit of money to a charity. sadly/unsadly, calum quit posting before i got round to doing it. i often wonder if it would've worked the way i intended it.

HLS aren't a charity, they're a business that experiment on animals for the benefit of their shareholders.

Pretty much any charity fucks somebody off btw

so i couldn't have donated to HLS? oh well, i'm sure there's an equivalent that would have achieved the same goals

lol dude calum was a dick no doubt but hls are the people who get paid by cosmetics companies to torture cats and shit like that so no, that would have been like you giving money to the bnp to piss off somebody who was always being strident & unpleasant about hating the bnp

guess I'll just sing dream on again (underrated aerosmith bootlegs I have owned), Wednesday, 20 October 2010 10:40 (fifteen years ago)
