A beaver found on the shore of the Bronx River in New York City has been named after 16-year-old pop singer Justin Bieber, the Wildlife Conservation Society says.
"Justin Beaver" was photographed earlier this month alongside another known resident beaver, named Jose, after Congressman Jose E. Serrano. The newly-discovered animal, the state mammal of New York, was given the name following an online contest.The pop singer has millions of fans all over the world, mostly young girls, and has sold more than seven million records. Bieber recently made his acting debut on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, released a rap video and a memoir and inspired a line of nail polish. He is set to release a movie about his life called Never Say Never, which is due to hit theaters on February 11.
