I find Marebito's final sequence one of the most disturbing things I ever saw.

what did we think of [REC] coz I get the feeling it's reached like neo-classic status but then again so did Haute Tension and ugh what fucking sloppy garbage.

I like REC a lot actually! still think its weird that the remake was so incredibly slavishly dedicated to recreating the original (while still finding a way to americanize the danger source which is totally lame) - struck me as so lazy.

I haven't seen it yet.

I have an aversion to modern horror I think because so much of what I've seen is gaaaaarbage.

id say get REC, and then fight the temptation to bother watching quarantine unless you love it so much you want to see the same movie twice

Remakes are sort of the reason I hate modern horror so much btw.

oh and also "Brotherhood of Satan" which Marco mentioned up there at the beginning is AWESOME

ehhhh. kinda not really? i think the reason for why peeps are being all creepy is more satisfying, but man the 2 are shockingly similar.
