words fail me in cataloging the awesomeness of this movie. David Lynch by way of Singin' in the Rain meta-homage to Bollywood filmmaking stuffed with campy cameos, parodies, hammy acting, eye-popping visuals plus yr standard over the top musical numbers... not sure which is my favorite sequence - the opening homage to Karz with the silver-jumpsuited fat dude dancing on a gigantic spinning record? the 30-second parody clip involving an action movie star throwing a gun into the air, catching it in his belt-buckle and then firing it at the bad guys with thrusts of his crotch? the "my heart is filled with the Pain of Disco" musical number? "Mind it!"?

I cannot be the only one watching these and impatiently waiting for the legendary Benny Lava to appear.

That's not a "laugh track", it's an audience and you're in it. (MintIce), Friday, 12 November 2010 14:30 (fifteen years ago)

Hate to shatter anybody's illusions, but:

eleven years pass...

anyway now I am sad no one else here has seen this movie

I watched this film last week. I don't know anything about Indian films really (I mean, I know a little bit), so the specific references and the cameos are lost on me, but it was still hilarious and dramatic and fantastic. Husband started half-watching it with me in a sort of "oh, one of your Indian films with the singing" way, but was completely hooked by the end. Highly recommend, will definitely be watching again. If you are in the UK or Ireland, it's on Netflix.
