Hospitals C/D?

I like them; I guess that makes me weird. And oddly I grew to like them in the midst of tragedy (a family member's struggle with terminal
cancer).

Most people hate them, and it's not hard to sympathize. Suffering people, infections and viruses, long waits and red tape, bad food, bad smells,
bad news and frequently bad attitudes.

Don't get me wrong, I hate the E.R., the lobby, usually the cafeteria.

What I came to like were the patient floors, the halls, the more reasonable and kind staff members and doctors. It's hard to explain why... I spent a lot of time there during said family member's illness, and the hospital became a place to escape the ratrace and reflect and focus on more important things. I guess the constant reminders of our mortality comforted me in some way too. Maybe I am ready to die!

I even considered nursing school and my friends kept bringing up poop and giving baths and... yeah.
