NEW SNEAKERS!

i'm gonna buy new sneakers! don't know what kind yet. been wearing the same ones for three years. they might still have some residual blood on them from my old hospital job. i'm gonna be sporty!

my dad was the grand champion of making sneakers last decades. he had the same pair of cheap ass "top-guns" or something he bought at the Mart for $10 for about twenty years until they disintegrated into speckles of pleather.

that's what i actually have now. keens. they've held up pretty well considering how much walking i do/have done. (they are actually walking/hiking sneakers)

scott, keens are the shit. i own three pairs and one pair of boots, my son has four and my wife has two. So comfortable. albeit expensive.

i need boots too. what with winter coming and all. i never buy myself clothes or shoes. just means less record money! but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. there is a great shoe/sneaker/outdoorsy place in brattleboro. it's huge. gonna go there.

coworker described his keens as "like crocs for cool people," so i'll just go barefoot thx.

protip: crocs are excellent for winter backcountry hut trips, ultralight/packable/waterproof

hate shopping for shoes, but i really need some new winter kicks too. i have some black tigers that i really like (almost like these, but once things get wet & slushy they might as well be sandals. just want something black, not too chunky, and reasonably waterproof.

I find all Keens hideously ugly. Dig a couple of those Fila though.
