Classic, assuming you mean the swimsuits.

Ally, Tuesday, 7 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

::reaches for actual print copy of Mr Greenspun's book:: 4000 characters. So now you know.

Token answer: Obviously classic, but on reflection I find myself in the Just-get-naked-already camp. Dud then.

Graham, Tuesday, 7 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

mmmmclassic indeed. 4000 flushes!

Mike Hanley, Tuesday, 7 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I think swimsuits are ugly and impractical. i swim twice a week and i want it to be like the Y before 1950. sex divded and naked. This is not a gay sex thing. I like the solitude. Now i am going to be called on my misogny. Its jsut when there are twice as much people in the pool...

anthony, Thursday, 9 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

What if it was mixed-sex and naked, Anthony?

Josh, Thursday, 9 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I really could not get into that because the tits would distract from my lap counting.

anthony, Thursday, 9 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Bikinis are classic as a concept, but many are vile. Especially all those ones you get on Florida beach bikini contest type things. Not a big fan of high-cut bikini bottoms at all. I know they allow you to tan a wider area, but the white bits look even stranger. Just go naked if you're that obsessed.

Nick, Thursday, 9 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Bikinis can be dud especially the one I got that promised Extra Beach Cleavage!. It is quite difficult to get suntan lotion into your extra beach cleavage, particularly when Pete is watching, so I got an exceedingly bad sunburn which blistered most unattractively ruining my chances of copping with Gran Canaria's hot young studs.

Emma, Thursday, 9 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Emma you braggart! Stop this mammary tirade!

Mike Hanle y, Thursday, 9 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I would have applied the cream if you had asked. She got awful sores down in happy valley you know.

Pete, Thursday, 9 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Just for the record, I do not have (nor have I ever had) an STD.

Emma, Thursday, 9 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Pete, you are going to jail.

Mike Hanle y, Thursday, 9 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

What for, failing to ensure that my fair skinned cleavage was protected from UV rays?

Emma, Thursday, 9 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Shut up about your cleaveage!

Mike Hanle y, Thursday, 9 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Emma you braggart! Stop this mammary tirade!

Is Mike Hanle y the living incarnation of Ignatius J Reilly?

If so, who is his Myrna Minkoff? Ally or Emma?

Nick, Thursday, 9 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Who? I see Mike as more of a Benny Hill figure.

Emma, Thursday, 9 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Actually I have based my personality on Ronald MacDonald

Mike Hanle y, Thursday, 9 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Ignatius J. Reilly = most fantastical fiction character ever, heroic manboob of A Confederacy of Dunces. Hanle y's Minkoff wuz [obv.] Ally, tho (ref. job counselling) mutating.

AP, Thursday, 9 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

di smith (lucylurex), Sunday, 27 April 2003 10:25 (twenty-two years ago)

My answer to the initial question: often classic on women, rarely so on men.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Sunday, 27 April 2003 16:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Classic.

Curt1s St3ph3ns, Sunday, 27 April 2003 17:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Sunday, 27 April 2003 17:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Arrgh my eyes my eyes!

I bought one in the middle of a snowstorm, which seemed to irritate the sales person (?!). It's tres nice though, and I am excited to go somewhere where I can wear it.

Ally (mlescaut), Sunday, 27 April 2003 20:31 (twenty-two years ago)

Eh, I don't swim. I will not be wearing anything different at the pool or beach than I do everywhere else.

Chris P (Chris P), Monday, 28 April 2003 06:50 (twenty-two years ago)
