Haircut etiquette advice FAO PETE:

When you notice your lovely female flatmate & chum has had her hair cut, say 'oh you have had your hair cut? It looks lovely'. Don't say 'have you had your hair cut? Do you like it?' in a wary tone. Apparently the rationale behind this was that if I had burst into tears and said I hated it he could say it was awful but if I loved it he could agree. This is a bad idea. Just say it's great regardless.

Having seen lots of people at the weekend who had different hair, I can say that I like Emma's hair and I like Katie's hair and Starry's hair, er, suits her :)

Warning: if your hairdresser asks if you like normally have your hair "a bit crazy" you will end up with asymmetry (cf. me)

No no no if I had my hair done & hated it (don't think this has ever happened, thank you lovely hairdressers) and someone else said they liked it, it would give me hope that I don't look atrociously horrible and perhaps I would try to look at it more positively. Just say you like it and if they say 'oh I hate it' say 'but it is grebt! You look a million dollars'. See, everybody's happy.

i am still trying to figure out what to do with my hair. would shaving my head because i am going bald make me just as lame as moby? i am not interested in pills or plugs as an alternative, but i am also sick of looking like i am 40 (nothing wrong with being 40, but i am 22). I am especially frustrated because I still fantasize about actually being cool.
