Can't remember the name of the track right now but there's a song on Santana's "Caravanserai" album that has crickets or cicadas on it. That record is probably the longest ever vinyl lp, over 50 minutes iirc.

Er, Pink Floyd, Ummagumma, studio half, one of the songs is prefaced with a fly buzzing around, it gets swatted then the song begins properly. Maybe its the one with the ridiculously long title, Several species of small furry animals gathered together in a cave and grooving with a lly c, or something.

Philip Glass' Powaqqatsi is 68 minutes on a single LP. They really didn't give a tinker's cuss about vinyl quality in the late 80s, did they*?

REM's "You Are The Everything" starts with chirrupping night- creatures.

There is a noise at the end of Stanley Kubrick reminiscent of an angry hornet buzzing between the speakers, but its some kind of effect, not real.
