He is currently at Scratcher at 209 E. 5th St. in East Village and would love for everyone to come. I think that he is going to be there for the weekend and would love to meet any and all of you so you can webmail him or post to this thread and I can relay things to him I think because I'm not sure if he can access ILX right now?

new york is really weird . it's very beautiful, the moon was so beautiful last night over the city.

but there is that donald trump toupee effect, too. same people, same dumbasses as everywhere else. limousine shitbirds, man

scratcher is great, though. can't recommend it enough. brooklyn lager, choice vibes now and again

also i kind of hate everybody right now. except paul simon

i'm at mcdonald's on canal st. and these assholes won't shut the fuck up. i just threw my coffee in their face. next post will be from jail

also, stevie d, they are playing alannis in this mcdonald's right now. isn't it ironic?

pluperfect (del), Saturday, 27 November 2010 10:57 (fifteen years ago)

these assholes are waxing on about wal-mart

i hate everything

pluperfect (del), Saturday, 27 November 2010 11:01 (fifteen years ago)

this is the best coffee i've ever had it's so cold outside i hate my friends agh my life is ridiculous these guys are still talking about wal=mart and 10,000 maniacs woman is singing and i hate my friends w/o exception napkin dispenser text is in comic sans

pluperfect (del), Saturday, 27 November 2010 11:06 (fifteen years ago)

pluperfect (del), Saturday, 27 November 2010 11:21 (fifteen years ago)

mormon's marmots (crüt), Saturday, 27 November 2010 11:29 (fifteen years ago)

pluperfect (del), Saturday, 27 November 2010 11:33 (fifteen years ago)

mcnuggrets

pluperfect (del), Saturday, 27 November 2010 11:37 (fifteen years ago)

Nothing says NYC like Saturday morning breakfast at McDonalds

curmudgeon, Saturday, 27 November 2010 15:33 (fifteen years ago)

some of us were watching the Carrey-McGregor romantic farce last night, then went to bed.

I'm going to Metropolitan tnite if u wanna.

sounds cool.

i am already back in philly, but i will be in nyc again in january, if not before. i want to hang out with your ny ppl for real this time. destination scratcher or bar great harry or some such. i will make you guys hang out with my friend elizabett, she is great. best thing to come out of bard since michael diamond.

new york was lovely! you guys are lucky to be livin' there! it felt really good to be there. whatever it was that was ailing me psychically feels much better now. i felt preternaturally at ease there. i'm gonna start trying to go there once a month or so. smuggle cigarettes (the guy next to me on the bus had like three cartons in his bag for his friends!) or something. and i'll bring stevie d in the pocket of my kangaroos.

pluperfect (del), Saturday, 27 November 2010 18:10 (fifteen years ago)

your ny ppl

sorry, supposed to read "YOU ny ppl"

pluperfect (del), Saturday, 27 November 2010 18:11 (fifteen years ago)

if i had a bar, no, WHEN i have a bar, I will call it NADS. or RAW ELEMENT. or INTL. HOUSE OF JANEANE GAROFALO.

pluperfect (del), Saturday, 27 November 2010 18:32 (fifteen years ago)

would drink @ NADS

that's a nice look, isn't it? (corey), Saturday, 27 November 2010 19:19 (fifteen years ago)

should read "will drink at NADS"

what would be the hooters equivalent costume at a chain of IHOJG restaurants? reality bites, but have you tried our short stack with cramberry sirup? this is how we do it. and you thought arthur treacher was crunk.

pluperfect (del), Saturday, 27 November 2010 19:41 (fifteen years ago)

take it from someone who's lived here 18 years, NY sucks.

kind of shrill and very self-righteous (Dr Morbius), Sunday, 28 November 2010 10:44 (fifteen years ago)

i take you at your word. visiting is sure fun, though, esp. if you are coming from somewhere less vibrant (i.e., 90 percent of other places)

what always hits me is that palpable energy and feeling that somewhere in town there are people and even entire stores or what have you dedicated to just about any weird marginal niche that one's interests might happen to involve. i still get that feeling of revelation and amazement when visiting upon having it drummed into me again that there is so much cool stuff going on around every other corner without even having to really seek it out or organize one's day around some particular destination. i guess that is a typical outsider's rosy view, but i don't think it's entirely at odds with reality

also, there are always people out and about, which is comforting. and they don't fuck up a simple slice of pizza like places do most everywhere else

that being said i've never really felt at home anywhere that i've lived, which i guess is kind of sad, maybe
