I just hate $$ limits bcz I have this psychological thing where if someone says "the limit is $20" I feel like I have to produce what measurably looks like $20 of stuff. Not that I'd want to skimp someone on that, but otoh it is possible to spend, say $12 on sale, and then make something, and look like you spent $20, or put $20 of effort in. But I feel like I would literally have to spend $20. Then, if I got $20 of extra good deals, it would look like I spent more than $20, and the recipient might feel weird about that. In sum, I did not give you a specific amount to prevent someone (me) from overthinking this shit!
