So who do you know / have you yourself been committed or hospitalized.

Somebody I know from back home was committed after they dropped a load of acid and were seen walking up and down Main Street covered in spraypaint, wearing a tutu and swinging a hockey stick at people. I saw him a year later, and asked him how he was doing, he replied "Most of the pyramids are underground, you know. The big ones, anyway." This was a bit of an incident in our town as his mother was running for local office at the time and was a member of an anti-drug campaign group.

I have been in hospital two times. Both times for an eye operation. I am scarred for life. Why the fuck don't they use pretty colors on the walls?

Neither, thank Goodness. You don't want to end up in King George's Hospital in Goodmayes, they have terrible reputation for negligence and deaths from secondary infections.

I have only been in hospital once, to have my adenoids out aged about 3, I remember they made me eat cornflakes.

One year the only bloke to send me a Valentine card was sectioned a few months later. That was a good year.

When I worked at a hospital, 5 babies were born on Columbus Day in the 3 hours I was there. The Columbus Quints from 5 different moms.

Spending time in a hospital reminds one to count your blessings, in a big way.

I had a knee operation. The shots they gave me were fabulous. They didn't seem to mind that I didn't have a bowel movement the whole time I was there (6 days), which I thought was strange.
