Bing Crosby looks so jaded right from the beginning, in a good way.

Rosemary Clooney is hot, what a singer. That scene in the train car where they each briefly break into separate harmonies during "Snow" is spine-tingling.

Those dance numbers! Vera-Ellen Westmeyer Rohe's LEGS!

Classic Shakespearean "misunderstandings between lovers" plot line.

Constant funny-guy antics from Danny Kaye... "how much is 'wow'", continually motioning to his injured arm, etc.

The colours in this film are amaaaaaazing. Also Bing Crosby was older than Dean Jagger, who was playing the old general.
