xp - my intent was to point out that this thread had originally ended with a discussion of the racist aspects of the bus fight video and it got revived with a discussion of another meme that had racist aspects

you can read them as engrish if they're specifically referencing certain types of mistakes that english learners make

feel like the above subset of people who would do so is pretty small (i.e. confined to ESL teachers w/ that experience)

or you can just read them as growing out of the tendency to infantilize pets and pretend they're stupid children who are just learning how to speak
