"creepers" C or D?

Inspired by the craigslist missed connections I saw today. I've seen tons of these, so there isn't really anything special about this particular usage, I'm just completely sick of the newfound usage for "creeper". Is this basically the new replacement for "stalker"?

I wanted to say hello, but we both had headphones in and I wasn't sure how to not be a creeper. As such, I have decided to just be a creeper on the internet.

I mean, like how "stalker" now just means you googled someone else's name once, you are now a "creeper" if you say hi to a stranger?
