How did the fallacy of (practiced) discipline arise? Has the (not necessary, but certainly enabling) development of histories and establishments around forms like writing, and painting, which lend themselves to effort and dedication (and so, of course, those individuals who can afford such luxuries) an underpinning in class privilege? Feel free to ignore the strained second half of the argument, if you'd like, I know it's even weaker than the first.

And why is music never as complicated as the people that write about it (those people, ha) make it sound? How much harder does one have to hit the damn snare for "energetic" drumming to become "orgiastic", you know? Is the ascribed actually there?
