Metro North Harlem Line Poll Extravaganza

Really just an excuse to share some of the crazy names cities have on the Harlem Line. Didn't include Harlem 125th or Grand Central (or anything past the Putnam County border). Also dropped North White Plains for redundancy. My favorites: Fleetwood (Mac), Bronxville, Tuckahoe, Valhalla (!), Mount Pleasant, Pleasantville, Katonah, and Purdy's!

I only ever take the New Haven line, but Tuckahoe gets points for lolz ("I don't even know one!") and being the setting of Maude.

Purdy's sounds like some kind of dystopian western town run by one man named Purdy who rules with an iron fist.

"we need a name for this new settlement outside Scarsdale"
"what rhymes with Scarsdale?"
"Harsdale?"
"that'll do"

i voted for white plains although it's a pretty boring place -- my then-employer used to send me up to the satellite office there pretty frequently. lovely but short train trip.
