point being, there's a lot of bullshit film ILX has abused for the sake of self-exposition and stance-taking crap, this movie deserves at least as much.

there is another consideration to be considered regarding the qualities of this film: I strongly doubt that there has ever been another movie, certainly not one set in the WW2 milieu, which has ever given such attention to the astonishing variations of homo sapiens' nose bathed in sweat.
