i believe that the director who did these videos -- also was dating him at some point? -- ended up being murdered + his house was torched. they arrested two guys iirc & corrigan was cleared

Bryan Kocis, owner of Cobra Video for whom Corrigan worked while underage, was found dead at his home January 24, 2007. His throat had been slashed and he had been stabbed 28 times. The killers set his home on fire to hide the murder. Corrigan was one of several people to be questioned. His attorney, John Yates, said that Corrigan was part of the investigation and "fully" cooperating with authorities.[21] Yates later said Corrigan had information about a man who met with Kocis that day, but they are looking for the services of a criminal lawyer before talking to police.[22] Police then searched for a "person of interest" named in the investigation.[23] On May 15, 2007; two Virginia Beach escorts and rival producers of gay pornography, Harlow Cuadra and Joseph Kerekes, were charged with Kocis' murder.[24] The theory by investigators was that the two men murdered Kocis because they wanted to get Corrigan to work for them at their porn film company. However, police investigating the murder believe Corrigan didn't know these two men would actually go and kill Kocis to get him to work for their company.[25][26]

I suspect that speed was involved- it's pretty rampant in the gay porn scene (though given the victim's arrest record / reputation, perhaps there was also a kind of vigilante anti-pedo angle here- a kind of "to catch a predator" scenario gone haywire)

I've seen the film in question ("Every Poolboy's Dream") and BC's co-stars are pretty lame and uninspiring, if I recall. I didn't know at the time about the underage thing.

I had no real intention of watching King Cobra, but my husband wanted to and I don't think that Brent Corrigan is any less stupid as a subject matter for a film than Tommy Wiseau, a deleted scene from Cruising or an in-name-only remake of a Tori Spelling TV movie, so what the hell. Despite Franco's predictable awfulness (he gets to repeatedly shout some nonsense about not being "a little bitch" and slap a guy who's fucking him on the ass, which I assume justified the whole project for him), the movie is far from unwatchable--there are a few neat neo-noir visuals that I quite liked--but its pretty ham-fisted on the level of writing and direction. Like, in case you didn't get that the Franco and Christian Slater characters are both controlling bullies, the film gives you about *three* separate scenes which cut between both of them having angry meltdowns. It's that kind of movie. Slater actually gives a quite nuanced and empathetic performance, and there's the novelty of seeing him, Molly Ringwald and Alicia Silverstone all in a movie about gay porn, but the guy playing Brent looks a bit more "masc" than the real thing, mostly by virtue of his square jaw. There is one great, and wholly intentional, laugh riffing on the phrase "elephant in the room."

I met this guy! We had a long conversation at a party. He kept referring to his body as "product" which I appreciated. Very workmanlike!
