I don't like sport, but I can see that football is the best one.

If another sport has ever come with a game as great as Football Manager, then I will vote Shit. Until then, as an I Love Football mod, I may be biased.

I understand how galling it must be for people who hate football to see it constantly filling the media as if it was the most important thing in the world, and to constantly be treated as oddities for having no interest in the game.

One of my friends has the opposite problem. As the only big sports fan in our group of mates, he says he felt embarassed for a long time at preferring to stay in and watch a match rather than going out or w/e.

i don't really believe all the 'great game, shame about the industry' stuff. from what i can see, football fans enjoy the <drama> more than anything else. and no im not calling anyone a homosexual, just throwing it about that u like <drama> in a slightly stagey voice.

The drama is all well and good as long as its not happening to your club, but then again football is institutionalised hypocrisy, so...

I certainly am capable of getting a bit caught up in the soap opera of the Premiership, despite finding the actual game mostly boring to watch.

Charlie: I suppose the footballers of the 70s were a bit like pop stars, what with the fancy haircuts and all that. The only difference was that the pop stars got all the tasty birds.
