For the 3/4 people who care...this is the thread.
Hoping Wales can do it tonight.

despise johnson...an ego masquerading as a manager, the roy keane of rugby. also god...chris ashton is emerging as an utter cunt, his celebrations and dives tonight were a total disgrace. wales look pretty awful, england think they're amazing but are really poor, let's see what happens tomorrow. ireland ravaged by injuries....

Keane was a zillion times more talented/influential within his game than Johnson was - a cardboard cutout England captain. Shit game I thought tonight, some terrible handling & lack of imagination - result was true to the respective abilities but jeez i'm glad i was in the pub for that. England will be lucky to finish 3rd on that showing.

yeah i agree, two really bad sides. i hate the way england think they are world beaters right now. france have domenech clone as manager, which is a huge travesty as they should dazzle everyone. chris ashton is a total cunt btw, someone needs to put a lid on his smugness, no place in the six nations for that kind of celebration. what a total wanker, really ugly behaviour.
england were ropey i thought. i meant more johnson is roy keane as manager rather than player, eg a major egotist who makes every press conference about himself. he was more gracious tonight tho for once.

ha yeah sorry fair play.
my whole animosity to Union is based on the horror of unwarranted England smugness. But Ashton's dives wd've been kind of cute in a different context? In a game as rough as tonight's they looked like tacky branding exercises tho.

so the english decimated the italians with more obnoxious dives.
scotland wales was dire.
gonna miss most of ireland france today bc i have to go to the movies.

This is what they're like 90% of the time tho? Except when they are so inarguably shit that even they notice it. This is why everybody hates them.

"Everyone hates the English. Everyone raises their game when we come up against them," said Palmer.
"England are essentially the biggest union in the world and it's always good to beat the big boys, isn't it?"
Palmer, who plays his club rugby with Stade Francais in Paris, said he took opponents' attitude as "a compliment", and that it comes with the territory of playing for England.
"That's just the way it is really, it's all part of our colonial history and our empire."

love lievremont's comments on this, they have that amazing "translated from french" vibe.
"We don't like them [the English] and it's better to say that than be hypocritical," said Lievremont.
"We respect them - well in my case at least I do. But you couldn't say we have the slightest thing in common."
Lievremont also believes France will have the backing of the rest of the countries in the Six Nations when it comes to the eagerly anticipated match against England manager Martin Johnson's side at Twickenham.
"We appreciate our Italian cousins with whom we share the same quality of life," said Lievremont.
"We appreciate the Celts and their conviviality and then among all these nations we have one huge thing in common. We all don't like the English.
"We beat Ireland yet left Dublin with the encouragement of all the Irish who said 'for pity's sake, beat the English'.
we all know the irish really said "for FUCK sake" or "for GOD'S sake" or "for FECK sake", tho again I love the French person speaking in English vibe of "for pity's sake.."
having said all that...
FRANCE: FOR PITY'S SAKE BEAT THE ENGLISH

haha...
didn't think england were great really, good defence and great rucking but france threw away chances. rougerie's howler in particular. on that performance i think ireland can beat england in dublin for definite.

Come on you convivial Celts

ireland getting absolutely raked on penalties...worrying. should be dicking teams with the way we're scoring tries and defending.

Nothing to worry about there.

Super Irish performance.

thought Ireland were brilliant today, fantastic aggression from the first minute and so glad the idea of England being great has been scotched, not that anyone in the NH is that strong at the moment. I was really confident Ireland would win just because if you look at both teams there's barely a position in which England's team is superior. Never seen so many knock ons but also never seen a team rip the ball off another side as often as Ireland did to England today. All week I'd been thinking if England repeated their performance against Scotland from last week they'd be beaten easily and that's what happened.
Also BOD...highest six nations try scorer ever. he is the absolute epitome of what sportspeople should be.
