I would have picked Ondrei before hearing her backstory; when she was like "my brother was just murdered" I was all "okay so you are about to quit". Now I'm kind of thinking Michaela or Brittany.

My favorite bit in the challenge was Ondrei sobbing about her dead brothers, and then Jaclyn sobbing about her baby face and voice; that was some super mean ass editing.

Dominique brought some diva in the first episode -- I mean, she was pretty clearly overcompensating for her lack of confidence, but still throwing her weight around (I seem to remember).

Anyway, loved this episode -- please please please let Alexandria stay around at least through the overseas trip so that we can revel in what a ho she is. Thought it was extraordinarily apropos that she was paired with Monique in a bitch sandwich.

Kind of weird that there were so many girls (Jaclyn, Alexandria, Monique, Hannah, Kasia, and arguably Mikaela) who basically didn't get makeovers. I get the sense that Tyra was phoning it in this cycle, like, she didn't even try to give Dalya a Halle Berry! Brittani looks totally woah now, though. And the lolz with Molly's weavegate.

I don't know if she made a good photo, but damn Sarah looked good in her shot.

Alexandria was looking like Lohan a lot too, so I expect many many more trainwrecks in the near future.

Man, I was hoping we'd get some nice panel freakouts this cycle, and while nothing can really touch "NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I YELLED AT ANOTHER GIRL LIKE THIS, WE WERE ROOTING FOR YOU! HOW DARE YOU!!!" this was still p nice.

OK I thought I was going to love the whole Alex as villain vibe, but it's really gotten uncomfortable the past couple weeks where all the rest of the girls have been ganging up on her in a terrible way, and I feel gross for everyone involved, considering that she seems like a bonafide diva but still doesn't deserve being called out and ostracized by everyone. No winners here.

(Nigel also being a self-important douche (part XIV) for criticizing Brittani for not having concrete thoughts during shoots.)

Nigel seems to spend most of his time nowadays trying to out-Tyra Tyra.

Finally got to see this in real time. Given the way they edited this episode, I was surprised they didn't send Molly home -- very meta, messing with expectations that way when the all the objective evidence said that Jaclyn was a slam dunk to go home. Stevie, IIRC, you were peeved at the predictability of the editing, so I'm wondering if you got fooled too.

Yeah, I immediately noticed how much Jaclyn exposition we were getting and realized around the go-see thing that she was the one being sent home. Fuck. I wonder if the editors realize that the entire season is one long narrative? Like, it's one long competition, not just a collection of standalone episodes. It's really weak to just toss these people into the background and then only bring them up when they're A) in the middle of some extreme drama or B) going home that week or C) going to win Who the fuck is Hannah? Clearly she's not going to be the next ANTM because we know NOTHING ABOUT HER, they're not building any sort of arc or character or anything, she's just sort of *been there* the whole time.

Anyway, Molly's boring and childish, Hannah is wonderful but probably won't make it, Alexandria is entitled and conceited, Brittany went from delightful to gross, and Kasia is a treat--I think Kasia should win.

I haven't seen episode this yet but somewhere around cycle 6-7 the editing was predictable to the point where the first girl to speak in the episode was the one being sent home.

Yeah, pretty much. It's most always the first girl who they show the video diary segment of, talking about how she feels about her performance so far/the events of last week/etc and how she has to try harder.

Okay, so we're left with:

Molly, a spoiled bitchy rotten sourpuss who looks unattractively angry all the time
Alexandria, who is a weird fake-o bitch
Brittani, who used to be cute before she became (or was edited to be) confrontational and self absorbed
Hannah, who is adorable but who has not been developed at ALL--WHO IS THIS GIRL, EVEN?

RIP Kasia/Jaclyn/Mikaela/Dalya. So at this point they've edited themselves into a corner bcz I think I speak for most of us when I say no one cares who actually wins, this cycle fucking sucked.

I like the three remaining girls! They all seem flawed as people (except Hannah -- her spacecadet persona is endearing plus Dan OTM with the Analeigh comparison) but I do have my favorites this cycle.
