no pictures, but i have a gnarly nosebleed story, i think.
in high school, my parent's house was about 10 miles out of town down a twisty backroad. after class one day, i was driving home and i sneezed. suddenly my nose opened up like a water faucet and blood went everywhere. it went all over the steering wheel, the seat belt, my clothes, the window, everything. i was wearing a white shirt and it went totally red. BLOOD RED.
i fumbled around in the glove compartment for napkins (getting blood all over the interior in the process) but there was nothing there. there was so much blood that it was funneling down my throat and i was choking on it. the backroads had no shoulder so i couldn't really find a good place to stop (should have just pulled into a driveway i guess), and somehow i decided to just floor it and get home. i know i keep repeating this but there was blood absolutely everywhere. it was like a murder scene in the car.
finally i pulled into the garage and ran into the house. with the worst timing ever, my grandma from iowa had made a surprise visit and was standing there with my mom. i ran by her and my mom screamed. blood was pouring onto the carpet, all the way down the stairs into the basement where my room was. i just took my shirt off and sat in the tub bleeding all over the place. my mom came down and yelled at me for bleeding on the carpet.
i don't really have a good ending - i just leaned back and stuffed toilet paper in my nose and finally it stopped about 10 minutes later.

One time when I was probably 13 or 14 I was sitting on the couch watching "Rock & Roll High School" and it was really dry and I think I was picking my nose or something but I got a nosebleed, a really bad one. So I paused the movie and ran to the bathroom and it just WOULD NOT STOP! I think at the time I didn't realize the gooey mucousy stuff was the blood clotting, and I kept blowing it out into toilet paper and then throwing that into the toilet, etc. Anyway it finally stopped like 20 or 30 minutes later and I flush the toilet and look down and realize that there is so much fucking toilet paper in the toilet that it's inevitably going to clog. So I plunged my hand into the flushing toilet and pulled up a fistful of sopping bloody toilet paper.
That's when my stepmom walked in.
Just kidding. I'm really glad no one walked in, but sometimes I imagine myself crouching in front of the toilet holding a huge wad of mushy nosebleed TP above the toilet and I lol @ myself.
