Wondered what the difference was from the standard US-issue one since WWII, up until 'saw', then woah.
Pity it's probably made in China.

Would be ironic if they outsourced production to, I dunno, a factory in Sheffield.

re: original post, is the soundtrack more john ford or sergio leone, would you guys say?
― Philip Nunez, Friday, 4 March 2011 00:00 (fourteen years ago)
There are many stories about this tradition. One of the more spirited tales is that of Madame Clicquot, who had inherited her husband's small Champagne house at the age of 27. She used to entertain Napoleon's officers in her vineyard, and as they rode off in the early morning with their complimentary bottle of Champagne, they would open it with their saber to impress the rich young widow.
suspect sabrage had a time and a place, and that was it

Chinese military shovel reminds me of this article I read about North Korea, where the author is being given the standard, heavily scripted press tour of the big library in Pyongyang, and at one point the guide proudly shows him this adjustable desk, and explains how the brilliant dear leader invented this amazing, miraculous device for the people of korea so they wouldn't suffer back problems from studying, but it's just, like, an adjustable desk.
