Adam & Joe - Classic or Dud, Search & Destroy

The Adam & Joe Show is possibly one of my favourite TV shows ever - the toy movies, Vinyl Justice, Ken Korda's "Speeding On The Needlebliss" and celebrity interviews... all classic IMO. Joe's hosting of that fuck-awful Channel 4 topical satire thing was a real mistake, tho.

I like them but I have nothing to say about them. Except maybe SEARCH their 'that's not dark and uncompromising, it's just sick' Jam parody, and DESTROY: Adam's Travis records.

the first two series were really good. The third series was bloody embarrassing. I felt sorry for Joe's (?) dad.

Hmmm. Search: the Jam parody, the Trigger Happy TV parody ("it's either TV, or students"), People Place, the parody of Friends (Furiends), Baaadaaaad interviewing Brian Molko, Vinyl Justice. Destroy: Baaadaaad Undercover, the pranks, Stuffe.

Search: most things. Destroy: Thompson Twins.

Adam and Joe are utterly utterly pointless but a good post-pub chuckle. A bit like the Phil Jupitus it's okay to like . . .

Of course they're utterly pointless, that's what's wonderful about them. Then again, I have never seen the much-maligned third series or anything they've done since.

I have interviewed them though. They slapped me down on my confusing Evil Dead II with Evil Dead III in SECONDS. That earns my respect.
