i want to say that it was for some kinda pancake mix, because it confused me at the time -- because we always made pancakes from scratch, and that was the first thing i learned how to cook, so I just figured it was dumb, because if i could make my own pancakes, so can this kid.

The thing is I'm not sure it was pancakes. It might have been "Someone's making breakfast just for me" or "Someone's making [some other thing] just for me!"
