Chris, you won't be surprised to heart that Ms Chamberlain is not the most popular of televison presenters on some of the mailing lists I belong to. For myself, I prefer only to laugh at the Torquay.

Unwatched and unwatchable. Exception: Soft Cell on "Today" a few weeks back (even if it was "Tainted Love" again).

I was flicking around with desperation this morning... shite as RI:SE is, BBC Breakfast and GMTV are just as bad (plus which, RI:SE had Laverne on this morning. Oh yes). Ended up watching a repeat of Taz-Mania (for, shite as the other three channels are, imagine how much worse they'd be if presented by Barney the disturbing purple dinosaur - "Hey kids, let's sing the Jerusalem car-bomb song!" "Yay!")...

Channel 5 does have a peach of a show later on though, called Brainteaser, if only because it's presented by a woman whose thoughts you can actually see travelling from her brain to her mouth - "OK, Tom, now what I'm going to do is ask you some questions about yourself, so we can learn more about you, so what do you work as?" Better still was when she did the phone-in competition - "If you'd like to win a couple of hundred pounds, maybe we can facilitate that for you..." Not even CNN presenters are that wooden. It really is quite astounding.
