Yeah, the other guys was possibly the funniest movie of 2010.

And Land of the Lost has its moments too, if you like movies where the plot is mostly irrelevant and the film-makers obviously just wanted to have all sorts of weird shit happen onscreen.

that was a pretty bad trailer - seemed to be afraid of embracing the concept which is why we got a lot of action montage instead of showcasing the gags (it is a comedy, right?). felt like a fake trailer you'd see on funny or die. i liked the SPECIAL EFFECTS title card though.

as inconsistent as Will Ferrell movies in general are, there is a fairly high baseline of quality for all the ones Ferrell co-writes with Adam McKay

Note quite as great as it could have been, but still quite a few laughs ("love scene" and "spirit journey" scenes esp. good.) Bernal also consistently hilarious smoking his Canadien Golds.

yeah i thought it was pretty funny. i was a little nervous in the beginning when i saw it was written by white guys, but it turned out cool. i saw it with a mexican audience and they laughed at all these things i didnt even get, like this part where a guy who looked like mexican george hamilton appeared onscreen and everyone in the theater gasped and pointed at him, which owned. and the theater burst into applause when will ferrell said "not all mexicans are drug dealers" at the end
