It's happened to us all at one point or another; someone makes a statement that, in its purest sense, is so obvious and correct that we jump in with a hearty "OTM!", another thread (or possibly work) catches our eye for a little while, and when we come back to the original thread we discover that the OTM statement we endorsed has been expanded into some crazy stupid batshit nonsense.
