But we can look ourselves in the mirror and be comforted by the knowledge that we were not suckered by Gary North.

One of the big points of this software is to support collaboration using the best mix of Web and email. Now that we've done the Web part, we will notify the people who have requested an email alert. You may move to a different url if you don't want to wait for this process to complete.
We're all done with the email notifications now. If any of these folks typed in a bogus/misspelled/obsolete email address, you may get a bounced message in your inbox.

One of Greenspun's most famous students is Randal Pinkett, who built an online community for low-income housing residents in Greenspun's 6.171 Software Engineering for Internet Applications course. Pinkett went on to win NBC TV show The Apprentice.

"TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000); 367490 messages, latest on August 16, 2002"
One of the thrills of Greenspun Ask A Drunk was surpassing the total posts on a series of obscure Greenspun boards, mostly about stuff like pet parrots or anarchism. Each time we'd celebrate like it was 2001. We never caught up to TimeBomb 2000, either.
