His performances, not the films. Oh, OK squabble about the films too, then.

Been watching these recently. Amazed at how little beginning, middles and endings they both have and esp. amazed at Roth. Where'd he learn that? And where'd it go?

That's: Meantime vs Made in Britain.

The cutting-room floor? Haven't seen the latter film but the first one is jam-packed with long stretches of nothing and Roth gets to do his quizzical thing to the hilt. The type of film he does these days isn't so interested in the interstices of dialogue where decisions are actually made and intentions shift (i.e. the "meantime" of any script)

haha, tracer proves by science that the cutting room floor is where it's at.

I like them both, but I have turned against praising actors for any roles involving disabilities of any kind, since these days almost all an actor has to do is pretend to be blind or limp a bit to get the oscar. I'm much more impressed with an extraordinarily committed and uncompromising performance of a really horrible character without glib explanations or excuses.

Isn't there a flaw in yr logic or something? Who has a disability? Being a Nazi, is not, NOT, a disability.

anymore... (did you SEE?)
