feel like this dude is going to die one day eating the worlds biggest taco

i've never seen that dude win anything apart from a season recap, in which his 2:26 victories were trumped for an episode's length

also, you ever notice how he never not wears a jacket? once you see, you cannot unsee.
i was pretty gordo as a teenager so i can sorta relate to the layering of clothes to make your channing tatum-tum's a little less prominent. but dude really has to switch it up once in a while, i mean come on. seems kinda anti-performance to be wearing a whole lot of clothes when you're eating illogically spicy foods.

1: 72oz Sirloin steak and sides in an hour - A Grandma can do it, can rollerderby ppl and Adam do it? Adam does in 25 minutes, i don't really understand why they rollerderby ppl are there cos they suck and lose. Initially had shirt done up, has been undone since.
Only in America.

Just catching this for about the first time this week, been aware of a program called that for a while but not really what it was about.
SO been wondering if it was a programme idea looking for a host that turned out to be this Adam guy by audition, or if this Adam guy was somebody beforehand who the programme was thought up for. Or if it was his idea & he came with it when it was networked.
Also I'm assuming that the suggested time flow in the programme is misleading. So, where he says he has to do this challenge then get over to another part of town to do another there are actually days between challenges. Otherwise he must be inhuman surely? Without an iron constitution his system surely couldn't stand such abuse without breaks in-between, & even with them he must be pushing it? But I'm wondering how long a production would spend in a different town. But I guess the programme's popular enough to be paying for itself? Like hotel bills for several people regularly etc

i thought he only did one 'challenge' per episode? - like, he shows you two or three massive meals or spicy meals, but then he just goes and does the most tv-worthy of them.

I like this show because Adam seems like the nicest man on tv.

xp it's more like he spends a bit of time repping for the town's actually good eating places (as in really good bbq or w/e rather than fine dining) and then goes and does the eating challenge which is probably not of the highest quality but never mind let's just eat this anyway

think I read an interview where it said he didn't eat for 24 hours or something before a challenge? so yeah I assume there is some creative licence w/ the timeline

I think in both the ones I saw today he did a hot food challenge followed later in the episode by a size of platter challenge. & would think both would mess with your insides to make you want to do anything else for a couple of days afterward. My mum always says eggs are binding and you're only supposed to eat about 6 per week. Maybe the hot stuff works in the opposite direction?

Oh sorry, one of the 2 episodes had him eating a 12 egg omelette. Hence the latter part of the above message.

12 egg omelette seems p easy, i could do that
