Real name: Elizabeth Ann Hulette
Height: 5'4"
Weight: 115 lbs.
Date of birth: November 19, 1960
Date of death: May 1, 2003
Hometown: Frankfort, KY
Pro debut: May 1985

- In the summer of 1985, Elizabeth made her wrestling debut as valet for her then husband "Macho Man" Randy Savage.
- In 1986, Elizabeth became the obsession of George "The Animal" Steele's, which led to a feud between Savage and Steele.
- While the Honkey Tonk Man and the Hart Foundation attacked Savage, Elizabeth ran to the locker room for help. She returned with Hulk Hogan, who cleared the ring. This new alliance between Hogan and Savage was dubbed The Mega-Powers.
- Elizabeth was in Savage's corner at WrestleMania IV as the "Macho Man" won a sixteen-man tournament to capture the WWF title.
- In 1989, Savage became jealous of Elizabeth's success, which led to a split between the couple. Savage believed Hogan had all along wanted Elizabeth for himself.
- At WrestleMania V, Hogan and Savage squared off for the WWF title with Elizabeth in a neutral corner. During the match, Elizabeth slapped Savage and sided with Hogan who won the title.
- Elizabeth disappeared from the wrestling scene following Summerslam '89, only to return at WrestleMania VI. It was a one-time deal to be in the corner of Dusty Rhodes and Sapphire.
- Elizabeth once again resurfaced at WrestleMania VII. Savage was attacked by his new valet Sherrie, and Elizabeth ran to the ring and stopped her.
- At Summerslam '91, Savage and Elizabeth were "married" at Madison Squared Garden. In real life, their marriage was falling apart.
- In 1992, Ric Flair entered the WWF and claimed that Elizabeth had been with him before she met Savage. Elizabeth once again vanished and the couple officially divorced.
- Elizabeth returned to the wrestling business in January 1996, this time with the rival WCW. She once again was aligned with Hogan and Savage.
- On February 11, 1996, Elizabeth turned against Savage and helped Flair capture the WCW title in St. Petersburg, FL.
- Later in 1996, Elizabeth joined the New World Order.
- In 1997, Savage joined the NWO himself, and the "Macho Man" and Elizabeth were once again reunited.
- Savage and Elizabeth eventually feuded with Diamond Dallas Page and his wife Kimberly.
- When Savage was kicked out of the NWO, Elizabeth remained loyal to her ex-husband.
- At Spring Stampede '98, Elizabeth took the full force of a Stinger splash. She remained off television for about a month.
- When Elizabeth returned, she once again became apart of the NWO as Eric Bischoff's personal assistant.
- On the January 4, 1999 episode of "Nitro," Elizabeth accused Goldberg of stalking her. The false charges tied up Goldberg long enough to prevent him from facing Kevin Nash for the WCW title.
- With the NWO split up into two factions, Elizabeth joined the WolfPac. (Elizabeth took some time off to get a breast augmentation).
- At SuperBrawl IX, the Outsiders put up Elizabeth's hair vs. Rey Mysterio's mask. The Wolfpac were the victors.
- On September 27, 1999, Elizabeth became The "Total Package's" (no longer to be called Lex Luger) new manager.
- On November 22, 1999, the "Total Package" arranged to have a match between Meng and Elizabeth. Sting eventually saved her.
- A week later, Luger tossed Elizabeth in a mud pit. Sting arrived and pushed Luger in as well.
- At Starrcade '99, Elizabeth and the Package reunited as she nailed Sting with a baseball bat.
- The "Nature Boy" joined Luger and Elizabeth as "Team Package."
- In August 2000, Elizabeth was released by WCW.

This is from some dude who really likes wrestleing.

Elizabeth Hulette
November 19, 1960-May 1, 2003

I sit down at my computer to write my new Q&A with my readers and what do I see on WrestlingDotCom? "WWE Releases Statement Concerning The Death Of Miss Elizabeth," shock ran through my body as I thought maybe it was a misprint or something. After I read it, I scrolled down just a little bit more and read the rest of the story. I have not been as shocked to hear of a wrestlers death since the late Owen Heart.

Instead of posting the Q&A today as planned, it will be posted later on in the week. Today, I would like to pay tribute to the "First lady of Wrestling," with a column dedicated to Elizabeth Hulette.

Before, we get started here are four great pictures of the late Elizabeth from her day's in the WWF and more recently in the WCW.

Elizabeth Hulette was born on November 19, 1960, better known as Miss Elizabeth to wrestling fan's. She attended the University of Kentucky, and received a degree in Communications. Elizabeth and Macho Man Randy Savage made their WWE debut in the mid 1980s and soon became an extraordinary couple in the WWF. Love was in the air for the two, as they became husband and wife in 1991 at the WWF yearly PPV, SummerSlam.

As timed passed by for the happy couple, their relationship became very bumpy on and off television. Elizabeth managed Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage as the WWF Tag team Champions. During this time one of the biggest feuds broke out in the WWF between Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan. Jealousy started brewing in Savage towards Hogan and Liz. Several excellent matches came from the feud, which ended at Wrestlemania 5. Where the two wrestled in a anything goes match.

After leaving the WWF, Savage and Liz headed for the WCW, little did they know what lay ahead for them. The two entered WCW and a storyline soon broke out of the two splitting up and Liz found herself with Ric Flair and the Horsemen.

On and off the air Elizabeth and Savage had come to an end. Elizabeth filled for a divorce. Savage blamed Hulk Hogan and his wife for the divorce. Eventually the two found their way back to each other and joined forces with the NWO.

After joining the NWO Savage and Liz begun a feud with DDP and his wife Kimberly. No one on one match was ever signed for the two ladies. In December of 1997 Liz married once again. This time he was not a Professional Wrestler, he was an attorney named Cary Lubetsky. After the marriage she only worked part-time for WCW. But a few months after the wedding, it all feel apart.

In 1999 she came back to the WCW full-time as the valet for "The Total Package" Lex Lugar. Being along aside of Lex, we seen a side of Liz we never seen before. She showed more aggression in her final year of WCW then she ever did in the WWF. Liz on more then one occasion attacked many WCW Superstars with a baseball bat or sprayed mace in their eyes. This included Lex Lugars best friend Sting. She helped Lex beat Sting at Starrcade PPV in December of 99.'

In 2000 the WCW started to fold and collapse without a true boss to lead the company. With the trouble WCW found itself in they had no choice but to cut over half the roster. In August of 2000 Elizabeth was one of the Superstars to be cut from the company. After her release nothing was heard of her until now.

"Sometimes it's hard to be a woman
Giving all your love to just one man
You'll have bad times
And he'll have good times
Doing things that you don't understand
But if you love him you'll forgive him
Even though he's hard to understand."

To quote the late Tammy Wynette song "Stand By You Man," that is just what Elizabeth did. No matter if she was with Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, the 4 Horsemen, Randy Savage or Lex Lugar. Liz stood by her man no matter what. She proved that to the fan's on more then one occasion. Elizabeth Hulette was a "true" Diva of her time. She helped pave the road for what we now know as the Women's Division of the WWE. Her smart wit, her sex appeal and over all girl next door attitude is what made WWF and WCW fans fall in love with her. She will be deeply missed. I send my condolence to the friends and family of the true "First lady of Wrestling," Miss Elizabeth.

Until next time take of yourself and count your blessings.

Chris

If the Hogan/Savage feud doesn't reach the same level of ILX bandwith munching as Jay-Z/Nas, then something is seriously wrong with the world.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Saturday, 18 October 2003 11:09 (twenty-two years ago)

Savage was the first "bad guy" I liked (pre-Wrestlemania 5 was the first pro wrestling I saw), because I thought Hogan was super gay. Plus, Savage was ultra-justified in "betraying" Hogan because Hulk was too busy playing the hero with Elizabeth and leaving Macho to get destroyed by the Twin Towers.

Yeah, and he didn't Hogan's help either to beat Ted DiBiase for the World title. Fuckin' glory hog.

alex in montreal, Saturday, 18 October 2003 16:36 (twenty-two years ago)

not that i was ever a fan of Miss Elizabeth, but it does seem that the real REAL Arnold type-of-person/ body-space-race going on behind the scenes took it's toll on quite an innocent person who got pulled right in in her case.
i mean, i know she was REALLY married to and involved with Poffo on and off for some time, and Vince even alluded to that relationship having a REAL possesiveness vibe to it when they recently televised their eulogy to her, but she was only ever a "manager".

We are so gonna TS with the John Cena album when it drops.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Thursday, 19 August 2004 22:41 (twenty-one years ago)

John Cena in Aug. '04 issue of The Source:
"I went out and bought Macho Man's CD and it was awful," Cena says. "I love Macho Man as a wrestler but he's trying to rip off the art form. And I had to do something about that."

Cena will now try to redeem wrestling in the eyes of Hip-Hop and show his appreciation for the culture with his debut album Underground. It features collaborations with Freddie Foxxx and 7L & Esoteric and was financed entirely by Cena. However, Cena is in it for props, not profits. "If [listeners] like it, they like it. If they hate, they can. At least realize this kid is real," he says. "It's Hip-Hop. I'm not doing it as a gimmick."

I feel like I posted this somewhere here but there was a football player in my high school who dressed just like Macho Man - weird fringed T-shirts, beard, sunglasses, crazy hats, etc. He had for some reason switched allegiances because for the year or so before that he dressed like Hulk Hogan, all red and yellow (despite being our rival schools' colors - he was that dedicated) with lots of shirts with fanciful rips in the back and a big horseshoe mustache. I don't know what caused the switch, or if since 1990 he has ever stopped dressing like Macho Man.
