Let's not anticipate the FOOTLOOSE remake starring Dennis Quaid as John Lithgow plus a bunch of nobodies

Directed by the dude who did "Hustle & Flow" and "Black Snake Moan," this just looks completely ugh.

What's funny is that the trailer duplicates a lot of moments from the original trailer -- the cop and the driver's license, the car wash, the dancing through the hallways, train-dodging, etc. -- but doesn't feel half as fun or enticing:

I'm not going to claim that "Footloose" was by any means a GOOD movie but at least it was fun. This looks unnecessarily slavish and boring.

toss in a few Tea Party gags and you guys will lap it up

It was originally supposed to be based on the musical version but now it's just a clone of the original. It's sort of like why bother?
