Trust me, none are as bad as those to be found here:

You need sound for this, and it's very scary indeed. My parents made me sing A-ha songs as a child, and I hope I wasn't as bad as this.

This should have gone on ILM!!! It's music related, get it off! get it off! Censorship please!!!

(or maybe I just want to be preserved from the terrifying awfulness that is his Who Megamix again...)

You call this music?! Yikes.

Paul Strange, Thursday, 9 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Actually , I am compiling a 2 cd set of cover versions of light my fire. Its great

Do you have Ananda Shankar's version? Classic! Especially as shag soundtrack. Ha-hem, not that I've ever done anything like that.

Kate the Saint, Thursday, 9 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Ananda Shankar's version of Light My Fire is the most obscure record in everybody's record collection.

In our jukebox at the momnet we have a record which mixes Norwegian Wood and the Lalo Schifrin Mish Impossible theme. Its wicked.

It's not bloddy obscure. At least not since it was re-released. It's a staple of scottish indie discos. Actually, that's 'Jumpin' Jack Flash' but my point remains a strong one.

The keyboards on that version of Jumping Jack Flash are amazing. And yes, it has been reissued, so look out for it. Also look out for Elektronics by Jean-Jacques Perrey for more reissued and decidedly odd goodness.

Paul Strange, Thursday, 9 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

NO. TH e oddest versions I have found are much weirder. Like a sappy slow disco one

Jusy Davis' cover of "Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues" is even worse than the original.

Weird that they're called Junta and they're playing a song called Sweet Adeline and yet it has nothing to do with Phish or barbershop quartets.

Just so it doesn't seem like I'm posting a total non-sequitor there. Wonder if Elliott Smith was a Phish fan?
