How long is a month?

A month in this case in the context, "I will see you in one month." Is it a specific number of days? Or, if the date on which this hypothetical quotation is uttered is, say, the 24th of the month, does it merely refer to the 24th of the subsequent month regardless of how many days accrue in the interim?

i've never encountered a situation where this time frame needed to be nailed down to the day. i often refer to four weeks as a month
